It was then that she hired on her associate and now Directer of Operations in Fotolanthropy, Brooke Moore, who shared a common passion with Katie to use their talents in a philanthropic way. During the time of development and gaining the courage to begin Fotolanthropy, Katie received a phone call one morning from a heartbroken mother that had just been given the devastating news that her son had been diagnosed with a brain tumor and wished to get portraits done before he would undergo treatment. The mother, Kara, had no idea that Katie had the heart for such a session. Katie knew Fotolanthropy had begun that day and she is continually humbled to work with such sensitive and inspiring stories.
To help fund the mission of Fotolanthropy, Katie founded FOTOstrap and designed a fashionable camera strap with Brooke Moore. The FOTOstrap is made of genuine leather and can be customized with your monogram! FOTO is a socially responsible company and donates a generous portion of each sale to Fotolanthropy so that we can give the products to our Fotolanthropy families. With this concept, we turn our customers into benefactors and help them to feel a part of this mission rather than relying on them to donate in this daunting economy.
Fotolanthropy is a Non-Profit organization and also is supported by the giving of others by donations.
We hope that you can visit our site and feel refreshed and inspired. We will continue to share and give to others in remembrance of our first story, James Camden Sikes.
Click, Inspire, Remember. Give.
